After the meet up, I headed over to ESPN’s Wide World of Sports for the expo. It opened at 9 and I got there about 9:30 and it was already packed. I had to park pretty far away which told me that it would probably be crazy inside.
Unlike past Princess Half expos, they had a tent set up outside for bib pick up and then all of the vendors were inside. The line for bibs was extremely long when I first got there so I headed inside first to check out the official race merchandise.
As you can tell it was pretty packed in there and the line for official race merchandise when I was down there was wrapped around inside the “store.” I navigated my way through the crowds to take a look and see if there was anything I wanted to buy. There wasn’t.
I wasn’t impressed at all by this year’s merchandise. I did like a jacket they had but I didn’t like how it fit so I didn’t spend the $65 on it.
I especially didn’t like that sneaker logo and they had it on a lot of the merch.
I did like the car magnet but I already have one from last year on my car so why wait in line for another?!
Once I decided I didn’t want any of the official merchandise, I headed back outside to get in line for my bib. When I got there, there wasn’t a line anymore and I walked straight up to the counter to pick up my bib! Sweet! Inside the tent, there were plenty of different photo opportunities for people take pictures with their bibs. It was pretty cool in there.
I was especially excited when I picked up my bib because it actually had my name on it. I registered for the race after the cut off for personalized bibs but I guess it didn’t matter.
Once I had my bib in hand, I headed back inside to meet up with Megan and check out the rest of the expo and pick up my race shirt.
Some vendors at the expo included Lady Footlocker (they had a super cute Nike shirt that I’m kicking myself now for not buying), Running Skirts, Sweaty Bands, runDisney, and more. We browsed for quite a while and picked up free samples where ever we could especially since the race bags have NONE. Disney has switched to virtual bags so you get nothing at the expo. Lame. But we managed to get several Luna samples, taste test at the Nuun booth, and play a game at the Chiquita booth to try to win a banana. I didn’t get a banana but I did get a sweet tattoo. Well at least the 3 year old thought it was pretty sweet.
We also stopped at the espnW booth and picked up some cowbells to go with the cheering posters we got at the Lady Footlocker booth. My Dad was coming out to the race so I was picking up a few essentials for him. AND he did use the cowbell during the race, btw.
Once I saw everything I wanted to, it was time for me to head out, grab some lunch, and spend some quality time by the pool with the family. Overall, Disney runs a pretty good expo to go with their awesome races. They even have a speaker series on both days of the expo which I didn’t go to because I had already seen all of them that morning. Next up: RACE DAY

Can’t wait to read your race recap!
That seems like a good idea to finally separate the Princess bibs from the expo. The last two years I was just always antsy to get out because it felt way too squished in there. I LOVE buying officially merchandise, but financially it is always a relief when there isn’t anything screaming at you to buy it!
